DONATIONS
You may donate books or other materials during open hours at our bookstore or either library. (Please do not leave donations outside when the store or libraries are closed.)
We receive a wide variety of donations, including books, children’s readers, coffee table books, and magazines. We also accept DVDs, VHS movies, audiobooks, music tapes and CDs, cassettes, and vinyl records. Also, we receive board games, puzzles, and items related to languages, both written and spoken.
Want us to pick up your books? Call us at 562.696.4498 and ask for John Marzy, or email John at info@whittierlibrarybookstore.com.
WHY BE A FRIEND?
The Friends of the Library are major supporters of the Whittier Public Library. To date, we have donated more than $1.8 million toward programs, including the Summer Reading Club, that are vital to the education and well-being of our community—especially the children.
How You Can Join
Memberships start at just $10 a year and entitle the holder to additional discounts at our parking lot sales in May and November.
Joining is easy. Just ask for a membership envelope at either library, drop by, or call the bookstore at 562.696.4498.
